Description

Plant Care:

Name Aglaonema Chinese Evergreen Lipstick Plant
Common names Chinese evergreen lipstick
Hindi names एग्लाओनेमा चायनीज़ एवरग्रीन्स लिपस्टिक प्लांट / / एग्लोनेमा / चायनीज़ एवरग्रीन्स
Type Stemmed, bushy foliage
Growth pattern Perennial
Exposure to sun Partial shade to full shade. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Light  Prefers bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate low light conditions, the foliage’s vibrant red color will be more pronounced in brighter light. Keep the plant away from air conditioning vents, heaters, and windows that may have cold drafts.
Soil Use a well-draining potting mix. A mix designed for houseplants or a blend of peat, perlite, and potting soil works well.
Watering Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the pot has good drainage. The plant thrives in high humidity. If your home is dry, especially in winter, consider using a humidity tray or misting the plant regularly. Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter when the plant’s growth slows.
Pruning Prune yellowing or dead leaves to keep the plant healthy and to encourage new growth. Regular pruning helps maintain the plant’s shape and appearance. Repot every 2 years or when the plant outgrows its pot. Choose a pot that is 1-2 inches larger in diameter than the current pot. This will give the roots more room to grow.
Maintenance level  Low, however, gently wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep the foliage looking its best.
Air purifying qualities  Yes

*Note: Since these are live plants, the actual size and condition of the plant may slightly differ from what is shown in the picture, depending on the growth stage of the plant at the time of your order. The plant comes in a 4 inch black grow pot. Decorative planters shown in the picture gallery are for representation purpose only and can be purchased separately from the website.
