Care tips for Jade Plant:

Name  Jade Plant
Common names  Jade Plant, Elephant Bush Jade Plant, Crassula Ovata, Money Plant, Dollar Plant, Friendship Plant
Hindi names  जेड प्लांट/ क्रासुला फेंगशुई / क्रासुला/ जेड ट्री
Type  Thick stemmed
Growth pattern  Perennial
Exposure to sun Place the plant in bright light locations. However, 5-6 hours of direct sun exposure will show great growth results. If you find the leaves wilting, offer the plant a good direct sun exposure.
Light  Bright light. Place it in bright light rooms or near to the window. A few hours of direct sun light exposure will give good results.
Soil Prefers well drained porous and gritty soil mix. Use an ideal potting mix which includes a mix of potting soil, vermicompost, sand, gravels and coco peat in correct proportion. Saturated soil will cause root rotting. Adding perlite or bark chips or rice husk, will give porosity.
Watering The Jade plants are a type of succulents and thus have very low watering requirement. More than having a set watering schedule for your Jade, it will be more advisable to wait till the top inch of the soil dries. Water thoroughly between two watering sessions. However underwatering would cause leaves to shed. Fertilize once a month with slow release water soluble fertilizers.
Pruning  Prune the stems occasionally for a good heavy trunk development. Pruning can also  be done to give the plant a bonsai look
Propagation Propagating Jade plants can be very easily done through stem cuttings.
Maintenance level Low
Air purifying qualities Yes

PLANT TYPE

Sapling

A sapling is a young plant and will come in a smaller size. Why take a sapling? While it is wonderful to watch your little sapling grow, multiply and produce plantlets, take different color variations and forms till it fully matures, some of the saplings require extra care before it hardens and is full grown. While some others are absolutely hands free. If you are ready to give it all the care and love to admire the comparative growth patterns across plants, we suggest you go for a sapling.

Aged

An aged plant will come in a slightly bigger size than a sapling. While we say 'aged', it only means that once a sapling, is now a grown up and would require comparatively less attention than a sapling. If you have the anxiety about going wrong in the process or just cant wait to see a full grown foliage, we recomend you go for an aged plant. Ah ah !! dont get us wrong, age has no bar for plant, they are evergreen, have infinite growth potential and are renewable.
